On Friday’s Oprah Winfrey Show, 5-year-old Shaniya Davis’ father Bradley Lockhart revealed how shocking it was to see his little one dead. According to the Fayetteville police, Mario Andrette McNeill has admitted that he picked Shaniya from her home and raped her in Sanford Hotel.

The horrible death of an innocent girl 5-year-old Shaniya Davis has been the hottest topic of gossip over the past one week. The moment the news was aired, the whole community was shocked and it aroused the waves of enrage and anger as well as terror among the parents of young children.

While talking to the host on the “Oprah Winfrey Show’ on Friday November 20, 2009 Bradley Lockhart revealed that he was stunned to see his small baby girl’s lifeless body. Replying to one of Winfrey’s question whether he wished to convey some words to Antoinette Nicole Davis, the mother, Bradley stated that he just gave her a chance to take care of Shaniya since she had got her life together a bit.

The tragic story of poor Shaniya took many twists until the real character, 29-year-old Mario Andrette McNeill came into the picture. Earlier the police accused Antoinette Nicole Davis of child abuse alongside prostitution and human trafficking charges but later, McNeill was booked for kidnapping, raping and killing the girl.

A surveillance video image of Mario Andrette McNeill has snubbed all the ambiguities of his involvement in the case. Though the face of the person is not visible in the image, yet the girl he’s holding is beyond doubts Shaniya. The place is Sanford Hotel, where she was last seen alive.

The Fayetteville Police has issued a statement that Mario Andrette McNeill has confessed it was him who picked the girl from her mother’s home. He also admitted that he took the girl to a hotel in Sanford and that he not only raped the girl but also killed her. Though it has not been determined whether where the murder took place, yet McNeil has been charged of kidnapping, choking up and raping the child.

Dad: Shaniya's Mom Trafficked Her to Settle Drug Debt

The father of 5-year-old Shaniya Davis told Oprah Winfrey today that the girl's mother trafficked the child to pay off a drug debt.

he allegation by Bradley Lockhart came a day after Mario Andrette O'Neill was charged with the rape and murder of Shaniya. O'Neill is the man police say is shown on a Sanford, N.C., hotel surveillance camera carrying Shaniya into a hotel room shortly after she was reported missing. He is being held without bond.

The girl's mother, Antoinette Davis, has been arrested and charged with child prostitution. Raleigh's ABC affiliate WTVD confirmed this week that Davis is again pregnant. Davis' other child, a 7-year-old boy, was removed from her home last week, Fayetteville Police spokeswoman Theresa Chance told ABCNews.com, and is now in foster care.
